Avid 0.15 EC (Agency Priced) (Class 6.1 PG III) (Gal)

Root-feeding nematodes are among the most destructive turfgrass pests, especially in the sandy soils used for golf course putting greens. Avid® 0.15 EC miticide/insecticide controls both sting and ring nematodes through direct contact activity.

Abamectin, the active ingredient of Avid is a natural product produced by a soil microorganism. It is chemically unrelated to any other miticide or insecticide. Avid has a unique mode of action and in trials was effective against mites resistant to the other classes of insecticides.

Avid 0.15 EC miticide/insecticide is the only abamectin formulation approved for nematode control on golf course greens only through a FIFRA Section 24(c) registration in Florida.

NOTE:

Syngenta received notification from the EPA that Avid 24(c) SLN uses for golf course greens to control nematodes in AL, FL, GA, LA, MO, MS, NC, NJ, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA will be cancelled effective June 30, 2016. However, superintendents will be allowed to continue to use Avid under the 24(c) SLN for one year after cancellation.
