Golf Ventures is pleased to welcome back Mike Swinson to its full-time sales force. His extensive knowledge of the golf course and sports turf industry are benefits to the company and clients. He will represent Central Florida and parts of the state’s west coast.
Swinson is a Certified Golf Course Superintendent. He started his career on a golf course maintenance crew, later becoming a superintendent. He has worked part-time for Golf Ventures in recent years. He holds degrees in business administration and horticulture and was a founding member of the Seven Rivers Golf Course Superintendents Association, a division of the Florida GCSA. Swinson later moved to the product sales side of the business, because he wanted a new challenge.
“We met Mike when he was a superintendent, and he performed at a high-level. He is a really good agronomist and brings a lot of knowledge and experience with our products,” said Golf Ventures Sales Manager Glen Thompson. “Mike is also well-liked and respected by other superintendents, because he knows first-hand the challenges they face.”
