Important changes to the Avid 0.15EC insecticide Golf Ventures 5/18/2016 9:13:16 AM

Please take a moment to review these important changes to the Avid® 0.15EC insecticide 24(c) Special Local Needs (SLN) label required by the EPA under FIFRA.

Syngenta received notification from the EPA that Avid 24(c) SLN uses for golf course greens to control nematodes in AL, FL, GA, LA, MO, MS, NC, NJ, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA will be cancelled effective June 30, 2016. However, superintendents will be allowed to continue to use Avid under the 24(c) SLN for one year after cancellation.

Due to this EPA decision, Syngenta will move the following products listed in the chart below from agency to non-agency effective June 1, 2016. This change in go-to-market will enable you to continue selling the Avid Heritage® fungicide and Avid Heritage Action™ fungicide Multipaks for use under the SLN until June 30, 2017.

The cancellation of the Avid 24(c) does not affect the availability of Avid. Syngenta will continue to manufacture and sell Avid under its current Section 3 federal label for use on ornamental plants. Avid 4x1 (15128) will remain on Agency.
Syngenta remains committed to researching nematode management solutions for golf course superintendents and looks forward to bringing new innovations during 2017.
