Golf Ventures and Life Soils Sign Exclusive Five-Year Agreement

Balancing growth, water management, and turf diseases is a constant challenge for golf courses and sports complexes, particularly in hot and humid locales. Comand, developed by Life Soils, is a biologically-based compost created specifically to address this challenge. It has proven to be an effective and economical product for Golf Ventures, which is now the sole distributor for the golf and sports turf industry in Florida and the Caribbean.

Golf Ventures Sales Manager Glen Thompson said, “There’s no other compost like it. Life Soils is a leader in inoculated compost, and this unique process is beneficial to all turf and plant materials. We’re proud to offer it conveniently to our clients.”

Demand for the product has grown, primarily through word of mouth marketing, as golf course superintendents have seen successful results. Comand is custom-blended with sand offering better water retention and more efficient water utilization. Customers can now mix Comand at their own plants.

Product developer and Life Soils Chief Technical Officer Darren Midlane said his company chose Golf Ventures as exclusive distributor of Comand because of their extensive presence throughout the market and their knowledgeable sales force. “Golf Ventures’ sales representatives are experienced and were good superintendents themselves. They understand what superintendents are dealing with and have earned their respect.”

Golf Ventures is now stocking Comand in its warehouse in Lakeland – pallets of 50 pound bags and two-ton supersacks are available to purchase.  Customers now have the option to experiment and evaluate Comand without having to purchase a full truckload.   Browse the complete catalog of products at GolfVentures.com, or contact your territory manager for more information.

Golf Ventures is also offering a Comand Field Day visit to a compost facility, at which Midlane will discuss the product’s benefits. The event will take place on Wednesday, December 7, in Bushnell, FL.
